If a student is struggling to log in or having issues with their device, you can follow the steps below to start the check-in through your Closegap staff account.
- Log in to your Closegap staff account here.
- Click '
Manage' from the navigation menu on the bottom left-hand side of the page.
- The Manage page will automatically open to Staff. Click 'Students' on the navigation bar at the top.
- Click on the name of the student for whom you'd like to start the check-in.
- Click the purple 'CHECK IN' button in the upper right-hand corner.
- Give the device to the student and allow them to complete their check-in. Have them return the device to you when they're done.

When should I start a check-in for a student through my staff account?
You can do this if a student is unable to log in on their own or is having issues with their device.
Will the student’s check-in still be saved to their account?
Yes. Even if you start the check-in through your staff account, the responses are recorded under the student’s profile.
What if the student continues to have trouble logging in?
Reach out to staff with school-level access to verify that the student's account details are correct or to request a password reset. If the log in issue continues and isn't due to the device or account details, submit a support request.
