How-To Reset My Password

1. Go to https://app.closegap.org/sign-in.
2. Click 'Forgot your password?'
3. Enter your school or district email address associated with your Closegap account.
4. Then, click 'SEND EMAIL' to receive the link to reset your password.
5. Open your email Inbox and find the message from the Closegap Team titled "Reset password request."  Click 'Change my password now.'
6. A Reset Password page will open.  Enter a new password in the first box.

Password Requirements:  Your password must contain a minimum of 8 characters and at least one number, one special character, one uppercase, and a lowercase letter.

7. Retype your new password in the second box to confirm.
8. Click 'SET NEW PASSWORD.'
9. You'll be redirected to the sign in page.  Enter your school or district email address and newly created password.  Then, click 'Log In.'

FAQ

I still haven't received a reset password request email.  What do I do next?

Sometimes password reset emails are filtered by email providers.  First, search your Inbox for messages from [e-mail].  Next, check your Spam folder.  If you still don't see the password reset email, let our team know by submitting a support request here. 

I'm having trouble creating a new password.  What are the password requirements?

Your Closegap password must contain a minimum of 8 characters and at least one number, one special character, one uppercase, and a lowercase letter.   

I'm a student and forgot my password.  How can I reset my password?

Complete steps 1 through 4 detailed above.  Then, ask your teacher to check their email for a message from the Closegap Team titled "Your student wants to reset their password." Your teacher can follow the steps in the email to help you login with a temporary password and then create a new password. 

My student forgot their password.  How can I reset the password for a student?

You can reset student passwords at any time from the Manage page within your Closegap staff account.  Simply go to Manage Students, select the student's name, and click 'Reset password.'  For more details see How-To Reset Student Passwords.
