How-To Join My School

1. After creating your Closegap staff account, you can request to join your school.  Click here to search for your school in Closegap.
2. Type your school's name and review the existing schools in Closegap that appear in the dropdown list.  

Pro-tip:  You may need to try different versions of the school name to find the correct match.

3. Select the name of your school.
4. You'll be redirected to a new page that asks you 'Do you work at this school?'  If the school and address you selected is correct, click 'YES, THIS IS MY SCHOOL AND I WANT TO REQUEST ACCESS!'  

If your selected the school by mistake, click 'NO, THIS IS NOT MY SCHOOL' to continue your search.

6. All staff members with school-level access on your school’s Closegap account will receive an email with your request to join the school.  They can follow the link in the email to approve your request.
7. Once your request has been approved, you will receive a ‘You’ve been approved’ email and your account will be connected to your school.

FAQ

I requested to join my school, but the request is still pending.  Who approves my request?

Staff with school-level access on your school's Closegap account received an email with your request -- any of these individuals can approve or deny your request.  Reach out to them to let them know that they should have received an email with the link that they need to approve your request from the Closegap Team ([e-mail]).  

The staff members in Closegap who received my request to join the school are no longer working at my campus.  What can I do?

The Closegap team can get you approved and connected!  Submit a support request explaining the situation -- be sure to include your role on campus and the email associated with your Closegap account.  

My school didn't appear in the search list.  What do I do next?

If your school wasn't in the list, it hasn't been registered with Closegap yet.  The process of adding your school is easy -- you'll simply click 'Add School' and enter the required details before requesting to register the school with Closegap (see How-To Add a New School). 

I support multiple schools in my role.  Can I be connected to multiple schools?

Absolutely!  Simply follow the directions above to send requests to join all of the schools that you support.  If one or more of the schools that you support does not yet exist in Closegap, you should request to add the schools (see How-To Add a New School).
