- If your school didn't appear in the search list on this page, your school has not yet been registered with Closegap. You can add your school to Closegap by clicking 'Add School' on this page.
- Enter your school information on the Add School page as completely and accurately as possible.
If your school is in the United States, you'll be required to select the district name after selecting your state.
- Then, click 'Request School Registration.' Our team will verify your school's information which usually takes about 24 hours.
- When your school registration has been accepted, you'll receive an email letting you know that your school has been approved. You'll be able to get started with adding students and staff right away!
Note: If you are the first person to register your school, you will automatically be granted school-level access regardless of your campus role. To learn more about Roles and Access Levels, review the FAQ here.

Now that my school was added to Closegap, how can other staff members join?
You can let your team members know that they can create a Closegap account (see How-To Create Staff Account) and request to join your school (see How-To Join My School). If you have school-level access, you'll receive an email letting you know that a staff member would like to join with a link to review and approve or deny the request.
I support multiple schools in my role. Can I be connected to multiple schools?
Absolutely! Simply follow the directions above to add all of the schools that you support to Closegap if they don't already exist in our system. If one or more of the schools that you support does appear in the search list on this page, select the school's name to send a request to join (see How-To Join My School).
Why was my school registration request rejected?
To prevent fraudulent activity, the school registration process involves a detailed review of the provided information. If your school was rejected, the email that you received will include an explanation. The most common reasons for a school registration request to be rejected are:
- The individual who submitted the request is not using a school or district email address.
- The school has already been registered on Closegap with a different name.
- The information provided is for an entire district, not a single school.
- The school information cannot be verified based on provided information.
